The Leone Philharmonic Society of Victoria, Gozo, would like to announce that the repeat performance of the 7th edition of Leone Goes Pop scheduled for tonight (Tuesday) at Marsalforn, is being cancelled due to a weather forecast for expected strong north west winds, up to Force 7.

Due to the nature of the event and the venue of the concert, exposed to North-West wind as it is, the Leone Philharmonic Society said that it regrets to inform that the concert can not take place.

The Leone Philharmonic Society said that it would like to thank all the bandsmen who attended for yesterday’s general rehearsal, conductor Colin Attard and the production team, who, notwithstanding the known vulnerability of the event to the elements, continued to work in the most assiduous of manners until the end.

The Leone Philharmonic Society would also like to thank the many people who had already planned to attend tonight’s concert.
