Bishops in Rome for historic canonisation of two Popes

The Archbishop of Malta Paul Cremona OP and the Bishop of Gozo Mgr Mario Grech, are at the Vatican in Rome this week to attend the canonisation of Blessed Pope John XXIII and Blessed Pope John Paul II.
They are expected to concelebrate in the Mass to be led by Pope Francis on Sunday morning in St Peter’s Square.
The Archbishop left for Rome this morning, while Bishop Grech left Malta yesterday.
The Gozo Bishop is also leading a group of around 50 Maltese and Gozitan pilgrims.
They will return to Malta on Tuesday, the 29th of April.
