European Mobility Week 2014 is taking place this week, finishing on Monday, the 22nd of September, the theme this year is ‘Our Streets, Our Choice.’

This event is held every year, and the Government said the aim is to create awareness about various modes of sustainable transportation and to emphasise that the country has to change the attitude of its citizens towards these types of transportation.

Activities have been organised in Gozo this weekend, in Gharb and Victoria.

On Saturday, the 20th, the Youth Committee of the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, is organising activities between 9.00am and 10.30am and between 3.00pm and 6.00pm, in Pjazza Santu Wistin, and also a concert between 10.30am and 11.30am in Palm Street, Victoria.

On Monday, the 22nd, the Gharb Local Council has organised several events, including planting a number of trees, a show featuring electric vehicles and other activities for the whole family to enjoy.
