In a statement this morning the Gozo Diocese said that with a view to further strengthening the mission of Manresa House as a house of contemplation and retreat, and in order to continue to receive the same services that were provided in recent years, they have appointed a resident diocesan priest.

The Diocese of Gozo and the Maltese Jesuit Province have agreed that while the Jesuits will remain responsible for managing the household and ensure the continuity of the Ignatian charism, there will be the presence of a resident diocesan priest at Manresa House, along with the Jesuit Fathers to jointly ensure a continuous religious presence.

Bishop Grech has appointed Fr Alex Refalo as rector of Manresa Church and Assistant Coordinator of the Manresa Retreat House.
