Heavy rain on today's leg of the Gozo CCU Foundation charity cycle rideLouis Debattista left from Karlsruhe this morning on the next leg of his charity fund raising cycle ride for the Gozo CCU Foundation.

Today’s first 100km was in heavy rain, they had a break for lunch. They had to do 52km this afternoon to finish today’s ride.

Louis left from Harpenden, Luton, in the UK last week and his route has taken him through Holland, into Germany with Switzerland to come, and then on to his destination to Lake Como in Italy, where he is due to arrive in early August, cycling a total of around 1,420Km. Louis had decided not to go through Sweden on this trip.

The opportunity is still there to sponsor Louis for the cycle challenge in aid of the CCU Foundation. He said “please, help this worthy cause, and you can do so by sending a donation in the form of a cheque made out to ‘The CCU Foundation,’ which can be sent to Louis Debattista at, “The Dusty house” Triq Ta Cini, Qala Gozo QLA-2020, or email me Louismalti@aol.com.

The Foundation’s next project is to raise funds to purchase 2 ventilators for the CCU ward to add to the 2 that have already been donated by the Foundation.
